The prices of electricity are set to go up from the first week of March, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has said.
The minister said that electricity prices would go up by 34 paisa to 70 paisa per unit.
He made the announcement at his office at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
Regarding the price of gas, the state minister said if the price increases in the international market, the price of gas will be increased in the country. “This adjustment will also be implemented from the first week of March.”
