A Saudia Airlines flight, SV 805, en route to Riyadh, made an emergency landing in Karachi on Tuesday due to the deteriorating health of a 44-year-old Bangladeshi passenger.
The passenger, identified as Abu Tahir, fell ill during the flight, prompting the pilot to divert the aircraft for a humanitarian landing, Pakistani media The News reported.
Tahir, experiencing poor health, high blood pressure and frequent vomiting, required urgent medical attention.
Later, the pilot contacted Karachi Air Traffic Controller seeking permission for an emergency landing in the port city.
The aircraft landed at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi at 7:28am.
Upon landing, Karachi airport medical staff promptly initiated emergency measures.
Doctors were on site to provide immediate medical attention to the Bangladeshi passenger.
The on-site doctor conducted an examination and administered emergency medical aid to Abu Tahir.
After receiving primary treatment and feeling well, the passenger continued the journey as the plane departed from Karachi to Riyadh.
