Jatiya Party (JaPa)Secretary General Mujibul Haque Chunnu said that the opportunity has come to prove that his party is really an opposition party.
“There was criticism among people that JaPa was domesticated. We will play a role in parliament and outside parliament in the future so that these words are no longer used. I will work to get acceptance from people. Now, this opportunity has come,” said the JaPa secretary general.
He said these things to the journalists at the office of the JaPa chairman in Banani on Monday morning.
Commenting that the Jatiya Party is the only opposition party in the parliament, Chunnu said: “We are the opposition party in the parliament which has come to the attention of the speaker.
“It will be mentioned in the proceedings of the parliament. We thank the speaker for this decision. The number is not big; who is the opposition in the parliament is the real matter,” said Chunnu.
He also said that the Jatiya Party under the leadership of GM Quader and Anisul Islam can play the role of the opposition party in the parliament.
Stating that Raushan Ershad is being used in an unorganized way, Chunnu said that she is being used by a vested quarter to serve their nefarious interests, which is very sad.
