Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Suman, the newly elected MP from Habiganj-4, has expressed his commitment to building 100 small football fields in the Madhabpur area of Chunarughat.
He made this announcement while speaking to reporters after paying his respects to the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, in Tungipara, Gopalganj, at 11am on Thursday.
Suman emphasized the importance of promoting football across Bangladesh, stating that engaging children in football activities can deter them from falling into drug and mobile addiction.
He expressed his intention to discuss football-related matters with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the parliament, emphasizing the need to exert pressure on the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF).
Detailing his plans, Suman mentioned initiating work next week by cleaning an old river and subsequently making other improvements in the area.
He pledged to focus his entire five-year term on transformative initiatives, demonstrating how an MP can positively impact the fate of people in a region.
Barrister Suman, a prominent figure on social media, also highlighted his commitment to Bangabandhu's ideals and announced that he would work under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to realize the vision of Sonar Bangla, as dreamed by Bangabandhu.
After paying his respects, Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Suman participated in prayers for the souls of all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the liberation war, including Bangabandhu.
It is noteworthy that Barrister Saidul Haque Suman, a former central leader of Jubo League and a well-known figure on social media, was elected as an independent candidate in the Habiganj-4 constituency.
In the election, he secured victory by defeating the Boat candidate, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Advocate Mahbub Ali, by almost 100,000 votes.
