The condition of all the eight people injured in Benapole Express fire incident is critical with all of them having burns to their throats.
Dr Samanta Lal Sen, chief coordinator of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, gave this information at a press conference on Saturday.
He said that a patient named Asif Mohammad Khan had 8% burns on his body. Another person named Nafiz Alam suffered 5% burns. The air passage of the rest including the two had been burnt.
Dr Samanta Lal Sen said: “We have kept everyone under observation. All the patients are in critical condition.”
On Friday night, miscreants set fire to the Benapole Express train in Gopibagh area of the capital.
Four deaths have been reported.
At this time, seven units of fire service went and brought the fire under control.
