The JCI Dhaka Achievers, a local organization of the Junior Chambers International (JCI) Bangladesh, held their Annual General Assembly (GA) and third GMM on Thursday.
The event was held at the Hotel Ascott The Residence in Dhaka, said a press release.
The final GMM of the year was followed by the GA where a new executive board was announced for the upcoming year.
The meeting was presided by the 2023 Local President of JCI Dhaka Achievers Md Mahbubur Rahman Chowdhury; Immediate Past Local President of the year 2023 Rakesh Sinha, Local Executive Vice President Rifat Khandaker and Local Vice President Ashiqur Rahman.
Rakesh Sinha, the IPLP of JCI Dhaka Achievers, acted as the election commissioner in the presence of the local organization’s officers and members.
JCI Bangladesh National President Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan joined the event as a special guest along with the 2024 Regional Vice President Rabeya Nasir Ovi who will also act as Chapter Mentor for 2024 of JCI Dhaka Achievers, reads the press release.
JCI Bangladesh National President Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan and JCI Dhaka Achievers Local President Md Mahbubur Rahman Chowdhury handed over the chain to the newly elected 2024 Local President of JCI Dhaka Achievers Rifat Khandaker who has taken oath including the newly board members elected followed by the election.
Later on, Ashiqur Rahman as the 2024 executive vice president and A Fattah Asif and Abu Sadat Md Sayem as local vice president, Iskandar Raju as the secretary-general, Shakil Akhter Khan as the general legal counsel, Sadin Nakib as the treasurer, Sabrina Akter as the training commissioner took oath led by the current Local President and 2024 IPLP Md Mahbubur Rahman Chowdhury.
The organization has awarded the Local President Md Mahbubur Rahman Chowdhury and Immediate Past Local President Rakesh Sinha for their guidance and leadership on successfully completing several challenging works.
JCI is a worldwide organization of young professionals and leaders between the ages of 18 and 40.
The JCI Headquarters is in St Louis, Missouri, US and continues operations in a total of 120 countries. JCI Bangladesh is running its operation with around 27 local organizations with a member base of around 2,500 and the local organizations are functioning to serve the community, society and at the national level.
