The Election Commission is currently underway with a meeting to finalize the schedule for the 12th National Parliamentary Election.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal is presiding over the meeting at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon, Dhaka.
The election schedule will be officially announced following the 26th meeting of the commission.
CEC Kazi Habibul Awal is set to make the announcement through a televised speech to the nation on Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar at 7pm.
While the schedule has been communicated through recorded speeches in the past, this marks the first occasion where the CEC will announce the schedule through a live broadcast.
