Two buses were set on fire by miscreants in Dhaka and Narayanganj on Monday night amid the ongoing blockade being enforced by BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami.

A “Bihango Paribahan” bus was torched in Mirpur 6 area at 9:28pm, according to Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters.

Meanwhile, another bus was torched in front of Narayanganj DC office at 9:30pm.

No casualties or injuries were reported in the incidents.

Earlier, a bus of “Akash Paribahan” was set on fire by unidentified miscreants in Dhaka’s Khilkhet.

Miscreants set a BRTC double-decker bus, carrying officials and employees of Dhaka University, on fire near the Mirpur-10 crossing in the capital on Monday afternoon.

The incidents happened on the second day of the ongoing 48-hour countrywide blockade, which the BNP, Jamaat, and like-minded opposition parties called.
