Elias Kanchan, chairman of Nirapad Sarak Chai, gave these figures at a press conference at the National Press Club on Saturday.

He said the number of road accidents is increasing day by day despite the development of road infrastructure.

But according to Nirapad Sarak Chai’s data, 8,104 people were killed and 9,783 were injured in 7,024 accidents in the country in 2022, Elias Kanchan said, adding that in 2021, 5,689 people were killed and 5,805 were injured in 4,983 accidents.
