More rain likely across Bangladesh

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places north, central and north eastern divisions and at many places over three southern divisions including the Dhaka divisions.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions," said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours begins from 9am on Friday.

The low pressure area over South Bihar and adjoining area now lies over Bihar and adjoining area. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay.

The country's maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am on Friday was recorded by 157mm at Netrokona.
