Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh, the Met Office said on Monday.
One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
Mild heat wave is sweeping over Sylhet division and the districts of Mymensingh, Bogra, Naogaon, Rangpur, Dinajpur and Nilphamari and it may abate in some places.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
