Bangladesh recorded 10 more deaths from dengue in the 24 hours till Friday morning, taking the toll to 293.
Some 1,757 more patients were hospitalized with the fever, including 892 in Dhaka, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Currently, a total of 9,026 dengue patients, including 4,568 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
So far, the DGHS has recorded 61,473 dengue cases and 52,154 recoveries this year.
On Thursday, the country registered the highest-ever annual dengue death toll of 283, with 10 more deaths in 24 hours. Last year, there were 281 deaths from the mosquito-borne disease.
