Detectives reportedly conducted a raid on the house of Gono Odhikar Parishad (partial) President Nurul Haque Nur early Wednesday and picked up Chhatra Odhikar Parishad President Md Bin Yamin Mollah from there.
The incident happened in the Mahanagar project area of Hatirjheel at about 2am, claimed Nur.
Nur made the allegation on a Facebook live stream where he said police broke down the door of his home and picked up Chhatra Odhikar Parishad President Bin Yamin Mollah.
After the incident, he went live on Facebook several times.
However, the police denied this allegation.
Nur also said one official attributed himself as deputy commissioner of Motijheel Zone DB.
Police seized CCTV cameras and mobile phones from his house, Nur alleged.
When asked about the matter, Hatirjheel police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Awlad Hossain said that this information is not correct and that no one was picked up during any raid.
