The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has been kept ready to prevent any untoward situation due to the simultaneous political rallies being held by the ruling Awami League and opposition BNP in Dhaka.
BGB Public Relations Officer Shariful Islam confirmed the matter on Friday.
Shariful Islam said the BGB is ready to tackle any kind of chaos.

Although the rally organized by three affiliates of the ruling party–Jubo League, Swechasebak League and Chhatra League–started at around 3.30pm on Friday.
Meanwhile, thousands of leaders and activists of the BNP have gathered in front of the party's Naya Paltan central office for its grand rally to press home its demand for a non-partisan government during the general election.
The rally, presided over by BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas, started just after 2pm on Friday and will be addressed, among others, by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
