Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) chief M Khurshid Hossain on Thursday said RAB was not concerned about sanctions and conspiracies.
“It does not matter if we are sanctioned or become targets of conspiracies... RAB is not worried,” he said while inaugurating the RAB-6 camp in Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj on Thursday.
He added that the elite force had been working to protect the populace's lives and properties.
RAB had been carrying out successful operations against criminals since its creation, including militancy, drug trafficking and terrorism, to ensure law and order, he said.
"Since Gopalganj lacked a camp, RAB teams from Khulna had to rush to the scene whenever crimes were committed there."
The RAB director general said by effectively reducing crime and upholding law and order, the force had been able to win the faith and trust of the people.
RAB, he continued, was dedicated to maintaining law and order to help Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina build the Bangladesh of her dreams.
Khurshid stated that Mufti Hannan and other criminals who had participated in an attempt to kill the prime minister had been brought to justice by RAB.
