Shekh Morsalin, the talented young footballer of our time, has performed well in the SSC and HSC exams. However, due to his participation in the Bangabandhu SAFF Championship, he couldn't sit for many public university exams. Nevertheless, thanks to Dhaka University, he now has an opportunity to pursue his dreams.

The university authorities have made a decision this year, offering admission opportunities to national players through the sports quota.

Starting Wednesday, Dhaka University has begun accepting applications from players seeking admission. However, Morsalin couldn't apply on the first day but assured that he would submit his application in a few days.

Having achieved a GPA of 4.44 in SSC and a GPA of 5 in HSC from BKSP in the Humanities, Morsalin's path to higher education at Dhaka University has become more accessible after his exceptional performance with the national team.

Speaking about his aspirations, the footballer from Faridpur stated: "Although I couldn't participate fully in the public university admission tests due to my dedication to the national team, I have always dreamed of studying at Dhaka University while pursuing a successful football career. When I learned about the opportunity for admission through the sports quota at Dhaka University, I was overjoyed."

He added: "Coach Zakaria Babu and a senior member from BKSP have been immensely supportive. Currently, we have Premier League games scheduled, so I plan to apply for university admission after the tournament."

Morsalin has impressed everyone with his striking ability, scoring two goals in five matches for the national team. His powerful shots from outside the box have garnered admiration, and there is great optimism surrounding his football potential.

Shahjahan Ali, acting director of the Physical Education Centre at Dhaka University, also believes that players like Morsalin deserve admission opportunities.

He said: "Previously, players could be admitted through the sports quota, but it had been suspended for several years. However, this time, the process has been reinstated. Morsalin's excellent performance for the national team, combined with his dedication to his studies, makes him a deserving candidate."
