Rawhide price increased but collection hampered due to rain

2nd coal shipment for Payra power plant arrives

A second ship, carrying 36,570 tons of coal for the Payra Thermal Power Plant, arrived at Payra Port in Patuakhali on Sunday, a month after the power plant had to suspend production due to a coal shortage.

Heavy rainfall, swelling rivers in northeast Bangladesh

Central Hospital claims Dr Sangjukta authorized patient admissions in her absence

The Central Hospital authorities have said that there was a directive from Dr Sangjukta Saha to admit patients in her name during her absence and that is why Mahbuba Rahman Akhi was admitted to the hospital under her supervision on June 9, even though the doctor was not present at that time.
