Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has called upon Muslims to make sure that no group can create instability in Bangladesh.
The minister said these things while addressing the pilgrims at historic Shahi Eidgah, the main congregation of Eid-ul-Azha in Sylhet city on Thursday.
He said that development happens in countries where peace and stability are maintained.
Referring to the plan to make the country poverty-free by 2030, the minister said: “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is giving daily essential food free of cost to 5 million families so that the poor people do not suffer. As a result, the condition of people is changing. Hopefully, there will be no more poverty in the country in the future.”
The foreign minister said that despite the difficult situation, the relationship between Muslim countries is being restored. He expressed hope that the harmony of the Muslim Ummah will become stronger day by day.
The minister expressed hope that people will take initiative to form a blessed society by eliminating evil thoughts, violence and hatred from the Eid of Sacrifice.
