A total of 500 BRTC buses have been arranged to ensure the smooth travel of passengers during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha trips.
Along with this, mobile courts will be operational during this time to prevent the collection of extra fares by buses.
The decisions were taken at a meeting at the head office of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority on Thursday.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that during Eid-ul-Azha, the movement of cargo vehicles, especially trucks, cannot ply roads for seven days before and after Eid.
He also said that the CNG filling stations will be open 24 hours for 15 days before and after Eid.
