The Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (Bajus) announced a reduction in gold prices by Tk1,750 per bhori on Sunday.
The price cut comes as a result of a decline in the local market value of pure gold, according to a Bajus press release.
Starting Monday, the price of 22-carat gold will be Tk96,694 per bhori, down from Tk98,444.
In addition, 21-carat gold will now cost Tk92,320 per bhori, while the price of 18-carat gold has dropped to Tk79,140 per bhori.
On April 2, Bajus hiked the prices of gold for the last time.
