State Minister for Religious Affairs Faridul Haque Khan and reserved seat lawmaker from Jamalpur and Sherpur Hosne Ara have said that the government and Bangladesh Krishak League will help farmers harvest their paddy till the very end of the season.
They made the remarks while inaugurating a program organized by Bangladesh Krishak League in Islampur Upazila of Jamalpur yesterday.
As part of the program, they helped farmer Monu Mia from Dhontola village under Belgaccha Union by cutting paddy from his field.
State Minister Faridul told reporters that imbued by the instructions of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Krishak League will continue helping farmers throughout the country.
Dhaka TribuneMP Hosne Ara said they will be assisting the farmers in harvesting paddy and the members of Krishak League and the local administration remain ready to help them throughout the season.
Local Krishak League leaders were also present during the ceremony.
Directed by Sheikh Hasina, many leaders and activists of the Awami League and its associate bodies have helped farmers harvest Boro paddy in different parts of the country during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
