Jatiya Party wishes success to Bangladesh's new President Shahabuddin

President Shahabuddin's experience in law and  judiciary would be helpful in assisting the country, says JaPa chairman

Jatiya Party (JaPa) Chairman Ghulam Muhammed Quader has congratulated Mohammed Shahabuddin on assuming the responsibility as the 22nd president of Bangladesh.

In a congratulatory message, he wished the newly sworn-in President Mohammed Shahabuddin success, good health and longevity.

Ghulam Muhammed Quader said Mohammed Shahabuddin's experience in law, judiciary and Anti Corruption Commission would be helpful in assisting the country. 

The country and the nation will benefit if the president fulfills his duties impartially and be vigilant in protecting the rights of the people, he added.

The Jatiya Party chairman expressed hope that the new president will assist the government and the Election Commission in conducting free, fair and credible elections.

Mohammed Shahabuddin has taken oath as the 22nd president of Bangladesh on Monday.

He succeeded Md Abdul Hamid, whose tenure ended on Sunday. 

Shahabuddin took the presidential oath administered by Parliament Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at the historic Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban at 11am in the presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, cabinet members, and hundreds of distinguished guests.
