Emirates is set to mark the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr with an array of regional flavours onboard, traditional Eid dishes in the lounges, and new Arabic movies and content on its in-flight entertainment system - information, connectivity and entertainment (ice).

From April 21-24, passengers of all classes departing Dubai will be treated to the flavoursome favourite dishes of Eid and an abundance of delicious desserts, reads a press release.

In the A380 onboard lounge, passengers can enjoy a selection of Emirati pastries or Arabic coffee cakes.

All passengers will also receive an additional mini treat of ashta sfouf - a sweet turmeric and sesame cake with cream - with their meal, wishing them "Eid Mubarak.”

Additionally, there will be a special menu for travellers in Dubai's airport lounges starting April 21.

Furthermore, a variety of content will be available on the ice in-flight entertainment system for those travelling over Eid-ul-Azha, including more than 100 Arabic films, 30 channels of Arabic TV series, 16 channels of Arabic podcasts and audiobooks, the Holy Quran, and over 500 channels of Arabic music, including pop, classics, khaleeji, maghrebi and Arabic fusion.

Emirates currently operates 21 weekly flights between Dhaka and Dubai. Passengers travelling via Dubai are offered convenient connections to over 140 destinations, including Toronto. Emirates is the only airline to offer first-class services from Dhaka.
