A medical board has been established to oversee the treatment of Freedom fighter and Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder and trustee Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury as his condition has not improved.
Gonoshasthaya Kendra Press Adviser Jahangir Alam Mintu announced this on Sunday that the medical board, consisting of kidney, medicine, vascular surgeon, chest specialist, and intensive medicine specialists, has been formed.
The medical board's doctors have provided necessary advice for Dr Zafrullah's improvement.
Professor Dr ABM Abdullah, prime minister's personal physician, visited Dr Zafrullah on Sunday at the Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital and offered advice regarding his treatment with the specialist members of his medical team.
Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury became seriously ill and was immediately admitted to Dhanmondi Nagar Hospital on Friday.
He has long been suffering from kidney complications and geriatric diseases.
