A fire that broke out in Rangda International Enterprise Limited's shoe factory and its warehouse inside TCB Bhaban in Chittagong's Bandartila area, has been brought under control.
On receiving the information, two units of the fire service rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control within a quarter-hour.
The incident occurred around 11am on Thursday morning, said Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Md Abdul Hamid Mia.
The fire was brought under control around 12pm after about a quarter-hour of effort by two fire units. Initially, it is believed that the blaze originated in the factory's laminating machine, he said.
The extent of the damage will be determined after an inquiry, he added further.
