Rabiul Islam who was killed in firing by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) laid to rest on Monday night in Lalmonirhat's Burimari area after an autopsy.
Meanwhile, Shahidul Islam of the same area, shot in the left leg in the same incident, is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Rangpur.
The deceased's pregnant daughter Rubina Begum, said in a tearful voice: "The doctor has given the date of my child's birth on May 10. My father was very happy. But today my father returned home as a dead body. He could not see and pray for my child. We are demanding justice for this murder.”
Patgram police station officer in charge said: ”'The body of the deceased handed over to the family after the post-mortem. The family members buried the body at the family cemetery at 9pm on Monday after the funeral.”
Earlier, Rabiul, 52, was killed and Shahidul Islam, 43, of the same area was shot and seriously injured while they were trying to smuggle Indian cows into Bangladesh on Saturday midnight.
Rabiul died on the spot and Shahidul was injured while the others managed to flee the area.
