Different areas across Bangladesh experienced light to moderate rain in 24 hours to Saturday morning.
As a result, the temperature dropped by three to four degrees Celsius across the country.
Rainfall may continue till March 23, according to meteorologists.
Rain and thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, according to a weather bulletin release of the met office.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Along with that, there may be scattered hailstorms, according to the met office.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded at 32.2 degrees Celsius in Bandarban while Saturday's lowest temperature was 16.6 degrees in Tetulia.
In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall was recorded at 23mm in Kumarkhali of Kushtia.
Meanwhile, 20mm rainfall was recorded in Satkhira and Sylhet, eight millimetres in Bogra, five millimetres in Khulna, four millimetres in Chuadanga and Jessore, three millimetres in Gopalganj and Madaripur, two millimetres in Sylhet's Srimangal, Tangail, Naogaon's Badalgachi and Sirajganj's Tarash, and one millimetre in Patuakhali, Chandpur, Rangpur, Syedpur, Ishwardi and Dhaka.
Apart from this, there was light rain in Mongla of Faridpur, Rajshahi and Bagerhat.
