A four-member UK delegation, led by the country's Indo-Pacific Minister Anne-Marie Trevelyan, visited Rohingya refugee camps in Ukhiya upazila of Cox's Bazar on Saturday.
The delegation reached Ukhiya around 11am and and left directly for the Rohingya camp.
During this visit, they visited three camps in Ukhiya.
She inquired about the activities of various organizations running in the camp. She also spoke to Rohingya women and children on various topics.
The other delegation members are Trevelyan's personal assistant Shawma Mahapatra, British High Commissioner in Dhaka Robert Chatterton Dickson, and others.
Additional Commissioner of Refugee Relief and Repatriation Office Shamsud Douza Nayan said Anne Mary first visited camp no 8 in Ukhia and then went to extension camps no 18 and 20.
They also observed the activities of various agencies in the camps and talked to the Rohingyas, who were forcibly displaced from Myanmar.
