Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has visited the ancestral home at Kamalpur in Mithamain upazila of Kishoreganj at the invitation of President Md Abdul Hamid.
The president and his family members welcomed the Prime Minister at 1pm on Tuesday.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader was with the prime minister at the time.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had lunch at the president's house. She was served with 16 haor fish items.
According to the prime minister's Press Wing source, the lunch items include white rice rui fish, catla fish, Chitol fish, Aair fish, Pabda fish, Golsha Tengra, Kalbaush, shoal fish, baim fish, chingri, grass carp, baccha fsh, ritha fish, pangash fish, moshur dal, salad and roshmalai.
Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina accepted hospitality at Kamalpur, Mithamain Sadar of Kishoreganj at the invitation of President Md Abdul Hamid.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated Bir Muktijoddha Abdul Hamid Cantonment at Mithamain.
After launch, the prime minister attended a gathering at Mithamain Sadar's helipad at 3pm.
