Family members said that Md Sabbir and Md Babu returned home from work and went to bed on Saturday night. After a while, at around 1am, policemen from Hazaribagh outpost came to their houses and picked them up.

The case statement said that a group of muggers gathered around Boishakhi ground in the area and were planning to carry out a crime. Later, they fled the scene sensing the presence of law enforcers. However, with the help from local people, police managed to nab a couple of the suspected muggers.

On the other hand, Babu's mother Lucky Begum told Bangla Tribune that her son lives with the family in Rayer Bazaar, but in the case statement, he was shown as a vagabond mugger.

Such intentional incidents have increased the tension between all classes people. ASK has demanded a fair investigation and action against those involved in the incident.
