The authorities have transferred the official of a union-level assistant land officer in Jamalpur, who is facing departmental probe for assaulting three journalists.
Sanaul Islam, assistant land officer of Charbani Pakuria Union under Melandah Upazila, was asked to join Dewanganj's Chikazani Union land office by February 2.
The district administration issued the order on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, a formal investigation was launched after receiving written complaints from the journalists.
Melandah Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Zohra Sultana Juthi conducted a hearing and took written statements of the three journalists and the accused at the land office around 11:30am.
Jamalpur Deputy Commissioner Srabasti Roy said that the incident was under investigation.
On January 25, Sanaul Islam was asked about the allegations of bribery, corruption and misconduct against him. He got enraged at this and assaulted the three journalists.
