Biman Bangladesh Airlines has promoted 58 pilots on the basis of their performance.
A notice signed by Deputy Secretary Muhammad Nizam Uddin Ahmed, general manager of administration and human resources at Biman, on January 22 stated that the promoted pilots will get permanent confirmation after a six-month training period and based on their performance report by the authorities concerned.
According to the notice, 10 pilots were promoted to the rank of first officer B737 from first officer Das8Q400, 17 pilots to first officer B777/B787 from first officer B737, 13 pilots to captain B737/Dash8, and 14 pilots to captain B-787/B-777 from captain B-737, two first officer B787s to captain Dash8, and two others to captain B-737 from captain Dash8.
