The cabinet on Monday approved “Authority to Innovation (A2i) Law-2022”.
The act is made to support any innovation of the government in the field of information technology.
The approval was given in the regular meeting of the Cabinet at the Prime Minister's Office in Dhaka on Monday.
The cabinet meeting was presided over by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
At the end of the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain disclosed the information.
The organization will have a board of directors of 15 members. The board will be headed by the minister of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology.
In the meeting, the prime minister said that after garments, IT and food processing sectors are the biggest exports of the country. Therefore, this A2i Act will further strengthen the work of the ICT sector.
