Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader invited Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's son and Information and Communication Technology Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy to participate in the 22nd National council of Awami League.
The invitation was extended to Prime Minister's official residence Ganabhaban on Thursday evening.
Confirming the matter, several Awami League leaders said that the Awami League conference will begin at 10:30 am on this Saturday at the historical Suhrawardy Udyan. Sajeeb Wazed Joy is scheduled to attend this conference. The main theme of this year's conference is - 'Prosperity, prosperity and smart Bangladesh of Bangabandhu's dream under the leadership of national treasure Sheikh Hasina.'
Every time, the conference lasts for two days, but this time, in the sake of austerity, it will only last one day. There will be a break for lunch and prayer following the opening session. The stage for the conference measures 80 feet long and 44 feet broad. Five gates will be available for entry to the conference. Four of these are for councilor entry, while one is a VIP gate. Beginning at 7am, the gates will be opened for councilor-delegates to enter.
