Update : 10 Dec 2022, 12:04 PM

Thousands of BNP leaders and activists are heading to Dhaka on trains to join the divisional rally amid a crisis of public transport.

On Saturday morning, additional police were deployed at Kamalapur railway station, but activists were not being stopped from coming.

The Chittagong Mail train arrived at Kamalapur station at 10:45am. Railway authorities said that most of the passengers were BNP activists. They were seen giving slogans on the station platform.

Even though additional police were deployed at the station, there was not much search. However, the presence of law enforcement agencies was much higher than other days.

Meanwhile, the number of passengers leaving from Dhaka at Kamalapur station is much less than on other days.

Several officials engaged in maintaining law and order said that the pressure of passengers was more than any other time in the trains that arrived at Kamalapur station between Friday night and Saturday morning. They believed that the leaders and activists of the party were coming to the BNP rally by train.
