Probe body formed over Biman question paper leak

A Dhaka court placed five employees of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on two-day remand on October 29

The Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation on Thursday formed a committee to carry out an investigation into irregularities and the recent Biman Bangladesh Airlines question paper leak incident during a recruitment exam.

Md Mohidul Islam, additional secretary (Biman and Civil Aviation) at the ministry, will carry out the investigation.

The two other members of the committee are Deputy Secretary Anup Kumar Talukder at CA-1 and joint secretary Zahidul islam director (admin) at Biman.

Earlier on October 29, a Dhaka court placed five employees and officials of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on two-day remand each for their alleged involvement in disclosing an enrolment question paper prior to the exam.

On October 21, the recruitment examinations for 100 posts of the national carrier agency were suspended due to the allegations of question leak.

Police in a subsequent action, arrested the Biman officials for their involvement in the question paper leak on the same day.

On October 22, they were placed on a six-day remand by the court.
