Former secretary gets responsibility of development work in PM Hasina’s constituency

Former state minister Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah held the responsibility until his death from Covid-19 in June 2020

Md Shahid Ullah Khandaker, a recently retired secretary of the government, has been given the responsibility of carrying out development work in Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's constituency, Gopalganj-3 (Tungipara-Kotalipara).

A circular, signed by the prime minister and issued on Tuesday, said Sheikh Hasina nominated Md Shahid Ullah Khandaker to work on her behalf in the constituency as she is busy with state duties as the head of government.

Before Shahid Ullah Khandaker, former state minister for religious affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah held the responsibility until his death from Covid-19 on June 14, 2020.

Born on September 23, 1948, Md Shahid Ullah Khandaker, joined the Bangladesh Civil Service in 1986 as an officer of the fifth batch of the BCS (Administration) cadre.

The former secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works went on retirement on September 29.
