Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel has said that it is unfortunate for Bangladesh that foreign diplomats are giving speeches as they wish which is not possible in other countries.
“We have a fault of our own. We are the ones who patronize them to make political statements. We think it is a huge credit for us if they make a comment about politics,” said Naufel.
He came up with the remarks at a discussion meeting at Jatiya Press Club on Tuesday.
Talking about others and interfering in this way is a imperialist behavior, said the deputy minister.
According to the principles of the United Nations, every country is sovereign. One country can’t interfere in the internal affairs of another country. Even if one says these things in other countries, it will not be printed in the media of those countries, said Naufel.
He further said that everyone wants to talk when they see a camera.
Bangladesh is a hospitable nation. Getting more from the country, now they (diplomats) have developed a mindset of talking more, said the deputy minister.
