Light to moderate rain likely across Bangladesh

Day and night temperature for next 24 hours may remain nearly unchanged

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at few places over the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin on Friday.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at few places over Chittagong, Barisal and one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Chittagong division,” the bulletin said. 

Day and night temperature for next 24 hours may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said the met office forecast.

The axis of monsoon trough runs through East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to Northwest Bay. Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay.

Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 36.2°C at Bhola and minimum temperature today was recorded 23.4°C at Rajarhat.

Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am on Friday was recorded 41mm at Tarash.

The sun sets at 6:42pm on Friday and rises at 5:50am on Saturday in the capital.
