Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Wednesday predicted light to moderate rain accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over Southern part of Bangladesh," said a Met office bulletin issued on Wednesday morning.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest temperature on Tuesday was 35.5 degrees Celsius in Sayedpur, while minimum temperature was recorded 24.5 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat on Wednesday.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours on Wednesday was recorded at 22mm in Barisal.
Wednesday’s sun will set at 5:56 pm and on Thursday the sun will rise at 5:47 am in the capital.
