Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over Bangladesh.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, according to a weather forecast for the next twenty-four hours commencing 9am on Friday.
The well-marked low over Northwest Madhya Pradesh and the adjoining area lie over Uttar Pradesh and adjoining area. The axis of the monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Haryana, centre of the well-marked low, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across the northern part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to Northwest Bay.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate elsewhere over North Bay.
The country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 33.7°C at Rajshahi and the minimum temperature on Friday was recorded at 23.7°C at Rajshahi.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am on Friday was recorded at 69 mm.
