The Covid-19 vaccination campaign for children is underway in 186 centres of 12 city corporations, including the capital, in Bangladesh.
State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain came up with the statement after inaugurating the children’s vaccination program at Nilkhet Government Primary School in the capital on Thursday.

After completing the campaign in city corporation areas, we will start vaccination at upazila level,” he said.

The minister added that those who have already registered are receiving the vaccine while the rest will be given later following registration.

However, we have a management team to deal with any untoward incident in each of our centres.”
Dhiraj Lal, 10, a second grader student of Nilkhet Government Primary School, who received the vaccine, said: “I was not afraid. And I didn’t even feel any pain when taking the vaccine.”
Dhiraj’s father Ravi Lal said that the initiative of the government is admirable. And the process of registration is very easy as well.
