Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Thursday detained a man for his alleged involvement in the death of a doctor, whose body was found at a Dhaka Hotel.
Md Rezaul Karim was held from Chittagong at around 11pm, said RAB Legal and Media Wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moin.
“He is currently being interrogated. Further information will be revealed later,” he added.
Rezaul was the boyfriend of the slain doctor, Jannatul Nayeem Sritika. He was a banker but got fired recently, reports UNB.

Sritika’s father Mohammad Shafiqul Islam filed a case against Rezaul over the murder at Kalabagan police station earlier.
Meanwhile, Sritika’s autopsy report revealed she had cuts on her lips, chest, and chin.
The body was handed over to the family, reports Bangla Tribune.
On Wednesday night, the body of a 28-year-old doctor Jannatul Nayeem Sritika was found at a Dhaka hotel with her throat slit at a hotel opposite to Square Hospital in Panthapath.
She was undertaking gynecology training from Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) after completing her MBBS from Moghbazar Community Medical College.
The manager of the hotel was detained in connection with the incident.
