The country’s youngest Diana Award 2021 recipient mental healthcare organization, Moshal Mental Health, recently visited flood-affected people in Sylhet to provide psychological aid and distribute relief items to them.

Moshal team with its Founding President Maria Mumu visited three of the recently flood-affected villages from Jagannathpur, Sunamganj and Mallikpur and collected over 30 sets of data by assessing the locals.

They went there with their expert Tanvir Ahmed along with DASS-21, which is a self-report scale designed to measure the negative emotional states of depression, anxiety and stress.

During the interview of a flood-affected couple, Shopna Begum and her husband Tajuddin said they felt that life was meaningless after the flood disaster.

However, there is no alternative to hope in order to live, they added.

According to Moshal, the organization aims to go forward with the publication of this data and further research to reach more people.

Moshal team thanked Tanjim Haque, CEO and founder of Ecstasy, for his generous contribution to this campaign.

Moshal is the first and youngest mental health organization to receive the Diana Award in Bangladesh. It is working to break the stigma and debunk myths related to mental health, added the release.
