TCB resumes sale of essential items from Monday

TCB aims of delivering products to 1 crore low-income families at subsidized prices

The state-run Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will resume its sale through trucks on Monday to provide essential items among the low-income group people at a subsidized price.

TCB confirmed it through a press briefing on Sunday evening.

They said the August sales activities will start from Monday across the country including Dhaka city with the aim of delivering TCB's products (oil, sugar, lentil and onion) to 10 million low-income families at subsidized prices.

The sales activities will be conducted from the dealer's shop or designated permanent establishment in the city corporation, district and upazila as per the scheduled dates and times.

The sales activity will be conducted only in metropolitan cities and regional offices in respective districts.

Each consumer will be able to buy sugar at Tk55, oil at Tk110, lentil at Tk65 and onion at Tk20.
