Wednesday was the last day at Biman Bangladesh Airlines of its immediate past chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal, who has been made the director-general of the Department of Social Welfare.
He left Biman’s office at 8pm on Wednesday while Biman authorities arranged an internal farewell for him in the afternoon.
In the ceremony, Dr Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal said: “I have tried to lead accurately so that Biman can make its profit.”
He shared his various experiences during his short journey with the airlines.
Dr Abu Saleh joined the national flag carrier in February 2021. He was able to serve the airlines for only 17 months.
Meanwhile, the government appointed Zahid Hossain as the new managing director and CEO on July 13.
