The government will not impose any new restrictions to curb the spread of the coronavirus, State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain has said.
He was speaking at an event in Meherpur Sadar upazila late on Friday.
The state minister said the fourth wave of the pandemic could be tackled with vaccination and mask-wearing.
“We have an advantage as a large number of people have been vaccinated against Covid-19. As a result, even when people get infected, a lot of times they do not even realize it. The number of daily deaths has also dropped significantly.”
Everyone just needed to abide by health rules, wear masks and get inoculated, he added.
