Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur in some parts of the country, said the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) release issued for 24-hour starting at 9am on Saturday.
According to the BMD’s 24-hour weather forecast, Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy falls at isolated places over the country.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The monsoon axis runs through Bihar, West Bengal and thence northeastwards to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
Country’s highest temperature was recorded 36.0 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi on Friday and minimum temperature was 24.0 degrees Celsius at Teknaf.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 54mm at Tetulia.
As per the forecast, Saturday’s sunset at 06:50pm and Sunday’s sunrise at 05:12am at Dhaka.
