A father, Md Suman Mahmud has fulfilled his seven-year-old son Ejazul Haque’s much-cherished wish to see the Padma Bridge, just a day before its inauguration.
Suman, who is a police constable stationed at Palang police station in Shariatpur, took his son to Munshiganj’s Mawa to show his son the Padma Bridge at around 6pm on Friday.
After witnessing the bridge, Ejazul expressed his happiness by saying: “I am very delighted. Now I can tell my friends that I have seen the Padma Bridge.”

According to Suman, his son Ejazul has been longing to visit Padma Bridge since the completion of the dream bridge.
“Ejazul has been requesting me to take him to see the bridge for the last few days. So, I brought him here, after crossing 27km on my motorcycle from Abdullahpur to Dhaka’s Keraniganj,” he said.
We have seen the bridge from a distance but my son is still very happy, he added.
