Bangladeshi expat dies from electrocution in Iraq

He died on the spot after being electrocuted at his work

A Bangladeshi expatriate died after being electrocuted in Iraq. 

The deceased was identified as Md Rajan from Mudafarganj North Union of Laksam upazila in Comilla

At 8am on Sunday, Rajan died on the spot after being electrocuted at his work in the Al Mansoura area of Iraq’s capital Baghdad, confirmed Monirul Islam, older brother of Rajan. 

He said Rajan moved to the Middle East three years ago to bring a change in his fortune.

“We are working to bring his body back to the country,” Monirul added.

A few days before his death, Rajan posted on Facebook: "Pray for my salvation if you come to my profile after I die."

Mudafarganj North Union Chairman Sahidul Islam Shahin said: "I saw on Facebook that Rajan died, I will help the bereaved family however I can.”
